Create tempting backend offers that customers can’t resist

Backend Products are your highest priced, most premium, most valuable products. They should be special by design. A tailor made product, a bundle of everything you sell, a club membership, a coaching program or a product with your personal touch make for great backend products.

Here are different ways how you can design your offers and get your sales figures rolling!!!

Time/Stock Limited Offers

This is a strategy used mostly during end of season sales. Create scarcity regarding your offer by making it time limited.

For example: if you own a retail store, you can create an offer that is valid, while the stocks last…

Stock/Time Offer Tip

This way you are tempting your customer to check out the collection right away. Scarcity is a mental trigger that causes immediate action. Customer is a lot more likely to buy a scarce product.

Hidden / Exclusive Offers

Customers love being treated in a special way. Use this to your advantage. Offer them exclusive products.

How’d you create hidden products?

  • Create your backend product/s.
  • Set their catalog visibility to be “hidden”. So they won’t show up on products page or in searches.
  • Create a Smart Offer and select this hidden product as product on offer.

For example : Sam owns a software solution business. Jim, one of  his premium customers is in the process of purchasing a website creation tool on his site. Just when he is about to checkout, Sam offers him a hidden product – an eBook “500 Social Media Marketing Tips” at a fantastic price. This ebook was not available on the entire site. It was a hidden product that Sam only gives his premium customers.

Related Offers

Offer your customers products related to what they have in their cart.

For example: If a customer has just purchased a laptop. You can offer him laptop accessories. By offering your customers related products you are luring them to purchase more. If your backend product is tailored for a product the customer is purchasing it can really sell through the roof.

Higher Value Offers

Offer your customers something better then what they currently have in their cart. Make it more attractive by giving a discount.

For example: If a customer is just buying one of your products “Smart Manager” offer him a better deal with 10% off on a pack of multiple products bundled together.
