Premium Offers Your Customers Can't Resist
Four ways to offer your premium (backend) products with Smart Offers - time or stock limited offers, hidden exclusive products, related offers and higher-value bundles.
Backend products are your highest-priced, most valuable products, and they should feel special: a tailor-made product, a bundle of everything you sell, a club membership, a coaching program, or a product with your personal touch. Here are four ways to offer them.
Time or stock limited offers
Scarcity makes people act now. Make the offer valid only for a time, or only while stock lasts, as stores do in end-of-season sales. Set the dates under Offer Valid Between in the offer’s rules.
Hidden, exclusive offers
Customers love being treated as special, so offer them something nobody else can buy:
- Create your backend product.
- Set its catalog visibility to Hidden, so it does not show on the shop page or in search.
- Create a Smart Offer with this product as the product on offer.
For example, Sam sells software. As his premium customer Jim checks out with a website builder, Sam offers him an ebook, “500 Social Media Marketing Tips”, at a great price. The ebook is not for sale anywhere on the site; only premium customers ever see it.
Related offers
Offer products related to what is in the cart. Someone buying a laptop is a good customer for laptop accessories, and a backend product made for what they are buying can sell very well.
Higher-value offers
Offer something better than what is in the cart, with a discount to make it attractive. If a customer is buying Smart Manager alone, offer a bundle of several products at 10% off.
