What is Possible using Bulk Variations Manager

Create WooCommerce product variations in bulk

Bulk Variations Manager allows you to add the same set of variations in multiple products, in bulk, which is not possible using default WooCommerce.

You can add product variations in three ways –

  • Create new base (main) product/s
  • Use all products from selected categories as base products
  • Choose from existing base product/s

Additionally, Bulk Variations Manager allows you to add thousands of variations at once, whereas WooCommerce allows you to add only 50 at a time.

Delete WooCommerce product variations in bulk

Bulk Variations Manager allows you to delete all variations either from all products that belong to a category or from the product/s you selected.

You can delete variations from multiple products at once from a single page, whereas in WooCommerce you’ll have to go through each product.

However, you cannot delete specific variations, or variations which are having specific attributes.

Set attributes in products

Bulk Variations Manager allows you to add the same set of attributes in multiple products, in bulk, which is again not possible in WooCommerce.

You can add attributes in the same three ways, like you can do for adding variations –

  • Create new base product/s
  • Use all products from selected categories as base products
  • Choose from existing base product/s

Update product variations prices

In addition to adding variations, Bulk Variations Manager gives you the option to add prices in a unique way. It calculates final price for each variations using the formula –
[base price + sum of differential prices of attributes used in that variation]

This feature will be very useful when you know the base price of your product & you also know which attribute is going to add more price to that base price.

In WooCommerce, when you’ll have to create such variations, you’ll need to calculate the final price of each variation on your own. But with Bulk Variations Manager, you don’t need to calculate it. Just add a base price & differential price against attributes. The rest will be taken care of by Bulk Variations Manager.
