How to Undo Changes made using Inline Edit or Bulk Edit

Smart Manager’s Undo feature allows you to revert changes made using Inline Edit and Bulk Edit (referred to as ‘Tasks’). This applies to any post types, custom taxonomies, and user records. You can undo a single task or multiple tasks as needed.

Note: Bulk edit functionality is available in the Pro version only.

How to Undo selected / all tasks?

  1. Go to the Smart Manager dashboard. From the navigation bar at the top, select a dashboard from the drop-down menu (e.g., Products).
  2. You can edit entries using either Inline Edit or Bulk Edit.
  3. After making your changes, click the ‘Save’ button (for Inline Edit) or ‘Update’ (for Bulk Edit). A ‘Task Title’ modal dialog will appear.
    1. You can update the auto-generated task title and then click ‘Ok’.
    2. If you want to disable this modal dialog in the future, uncheck ‘Show tasks title modal’ in ‘Settings’ and save your changes.
  4. To view all tasks, click on ‘Show Tasks’ in the top-right corner near the ‘Columns’ button. This will display a list of all tasks from Inline Edit and Bulk Edit for the current dashboard. The ‘Show Tasks’ checkbox is not visible on the Custom Views dashboards.
  5. To undo changes, navigate to the top bar above the grid and hover over the ‘Undo’ button to see a dropdown menu with two options:
    1. Selected Tasks:
      1. Choose this option to revert changes made to specific tasks.
      2. Select the tasks you want to revert, then click on ‘Selected Tasks’ in the dropdown menu. This will undo the most recent changes for the selected tasks.
